Kia ora, I am Bex
I am a leadership coach and speaker who helps capable people and teams achieve excellent results without sacrificing their wellbeing.
With a PhD in forensic psychology and more than eight years’ coaching experience, I combine psychological insight, practical workplace experience and genuine warmth. I translate behavioural science into clear, usable strategies that create meaningful change, not just interesting conversations.
I help leaders strengthen their confidence, resilience, self-leadership and emotional intelligence. My coaching supports people to navigate pressure, change and challenging relationships, manage self-doubt and perfectionism, communicate effectively, and lead with greater clarity, courage and authenticity. My areas of expertise include leadership development, mindset and behaviour change, Impostor Syndrome, burnout prevention, workplace wellbeing and trauma-informed practice.
I have worked across research, tertiary education, public health, workplace health and safety, and the fitness industry. This varied background allows me to connect with people across a wide range of sectors. My style is evidence-based, down-to-earth, encouraging and thoughtfully challenging. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: people perform best when excellence is built on self-trust, not self-criticism or exhaustion.
“Bex coaching style is something special. She doesn’t give you the answers, she draws them out of you. That approach has been far more motivating and empowering for me, and it’s helped create real, lasting change. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her and to continue working with her as I move toward my goals”
Hannah (Practice Manager)
“Bex encouraged me to lead with curiosity and understanding. I particularly appreciated the tools we explored for my team that were inspired and guided by Te Ao Māori. I’d recommend Bex to anyone who needs a mix of inspiration and practicality to help guide and shape how they develop and lead teams.”
Gillian (Senior Manager)
“Working alongside Bex has been nothing short of inspiring! She has a remarkable gift for noticing the traits and patterns that have quietly shaped who I am, and how I have led my life, often before I even realised it myself. The insights Bex shared felt like a gentle lifting of weight from my shoulders, bringing with it a profound sense of clarity, ease, and acceptance. “
