About Kenny

Kenny is an ICF and IECL accredited Executive Leadership Coach (PCC), an ex-military officer (18 years of active service), an ex-firefighter (5 years of volunteer service), a leader with over 20 years of people leadership experience stretching from operational to strategic leadership, and now the CEO and Founder of The Bridge Leaders.

Starting his life as a humble immigrant who came to New Zealand with his family with nothing at age 14, Kenny quickly “grew up,” having to work two part-time jobs to support his family. With an early start to working life, he decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and joined the military at age 17. At age 19, Kenny was promoted to his first formal leadership role, leading a team on operations, kick-starting his leadership career. Starting in the Engineering Corps, Kenny quickly rose through the ranks, gaining recognition as a thoughtful and mission-focused leader.

In his late twenties, after success in various leadership roles, Kenny decided to pursue general management positions, stepping away from engineering and leaning into operational and strategic roles both in New Zealand and overseas. Throughout his 18 years of active service, he led teams in high-stakes environments—from operations onboard warships and multinational deployments in the Middle East, to natural disasters, inter-agency operations, and organisation-wide people and culture change initiatives. His professional leadership career culminated with him being hand-picked and appointed as Head of the Leadership School for the NZ Navy—a role that became a career highlight and ignited his passion for helping leaders, teams, and individuals reach their full potential.

After leaving the military, Kenny founded his own leadership training, coaching, and consulting company, where he now leads a team of coaches and works with leaders across a wide variety of industries and sectors. His vision and purpose are simple: to make a real difference to leaders so they can, in turn, make a difference to the people, organisations, and communities they lead.

Keynote Topics

Every organisation is different, and Kenny will tailored the talk to your context, your people, and your goals; so it lands with impact and relevance. We take time to understand your world and design a session that speaks directly to your leaders and teams.

Winning the Gap

How elite performers achieve bold goals through uncertainty and change. We’ll unpack the mindset, habits, and strategies that help leaders close the gap between where they are, and where they want to be.

Leading Change

In a fast-moving world, leaders need to adapt. This talk builds the tools, habits, and mindset required to lead through disruption, uncertainty, and the human side of change, so you can achieve the outcomes you want.

The Authenticity Myth

Not all “authentic leadership” is helpful. This session challenges the feel-good myths around values and authenticity—and gets real about what it takes to lead with clarity, consistency, and conviction.

Changing the Inner Voice

We’re all driven by the stories we tell ourselves, often without realising it. This session explores how those inner narratives shape our habits and results. If you want real change in life or leadership, it starts with changing the story.
