About Kenny
Kenny is the Founder and CEO of The Bridge Leaders, an outcome-focused leadership development company that partners with organisations across New Zealand to build better leaders, stronger teams, and high-performing cultures. Under his leadership, The Bridge has become one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing leadership development firms, working with organisations across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors to develop leadership capability that delivers measurable business outcomes.
An IECL accredited Executive Leadership Coach, ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and holder of a Master of Science in Change Leadership and an Executive MBA in Organisational Leadership Development, Kenny combines academic rigour with real-world leadership experience. Today, he leads a growing team of leadership specialists who deliver executive coaching, leadership development programmes, team coaching, organisational consulting, and keynote presentations throughout New Zealand.
Kenny’s leadership journey began long before founding The Bridge. After immigrating to New Zealand with his family at age 14, he entered the workforce early, balancing two part-time jobs to help support his family. At 17, he joined the New Zealand Defence Force, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, where he would spend the next 18 years developing as a leader.
Initially trained as an engineer, Kenny quickly progressed through leadership roles before deliberately transitioning into operational and strategic leadership. Throughout his military career, he led teams in demanding environments including maritime operations, multinational deployments in the Middle East, disaster response, government and inter-agency operations, and organisation-wide people and culture initiatives. His career culminated in his appointment as Head of the Royal New Zealand Navy Leadership School, where he was responsible for developing the next generation of military leaders and shaping leadership across the organisation.
Following his military service, Kenny founded The Bridge with a simple belief: organisations succeed when they invest in better leadership. Since then, he has worked with executives, leadership teams, and organisations across a diverse range of industries, helping them develop practical leadership capability that creates lasting behavioural and cultural change.
Today, Kenny is recognised for his practical, evidence-based approach to leadership. Drawing on military experience, organisational psychology, leadership research, and years of working alongside New Zealand organisations, he challenges conventional leadership thinking and equips leaders with practical tools they can apply immediately.
